Pediculus humanus capitis are also known as the human head lice which is the obligate ectoparasites of the humans. They live on the scalp of head and continuously suck the blood from the humans and feed on that blood. They are the carriers of many pathogenic bacteria and that is why they cause many infectious diseases among humans.
