The Effect of FMT on Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea and Its Impact on Gut Microbiota

This project explored the efficacy of Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) in treating Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). Our study included 23 AAD patients who underwent FMT, with follow-ups at one and three months post-treatment. The majority experienced significant relief from AAD symptoms and a reduction in specific inflammatory markers. Notably, post-FMT, patients' gut flora showed increased beneficial bacteria and decreased pathogenic varieties, highlighting FMT's potential to improve gut health and alleviate AAD symptoms.
