The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has a longstanding tradition of creating and internally distributing memorabilia – namely pins, buttons, patches, stickers, medallions, ornaments, and artwork – to celebrate the various milestones and teams that support the missions of JPL and the greater NASA community. [Place image1.jpg here] Historically, there has been minimal documentation on the cultural significance of these items. Metadata with details on designers, years of creation, and production information have not been properly recorded and has revealed a gap within the JPL Archives’ collections.
