Obesity in cardiac surgery patients

We report on the application of RNA sequencing to study expression changes in cardiac surgery patients of different obesity categories. Overall design: Patients attending surgery were recruited as part of a clinical trial. Total RNA was obtained from myocardial tissue (specifically atrial biopsies), sequenced and analyzed.
