Evolution of bacteria in the mouse gut through the selection of genetic variations by dietary extracellular vesicles in bovine milk

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) in bovine milk alter bacterial communities in the murine cecum, thereby implicating dietary EVs in cross-kingdom communication. Here we use metagenomics analysis to demonstrate that milk EVs contribute to the speciation of gut bacteria through the selection of genetic variations.
