Rattus norvegicus Transcriptome or Gene expression

The goal of this study is to investigate the early transcriptomic changes in the myocardial infarct border zone following acute myocardial infarction (MI) in a rat model. 5 weeks old male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were subjected to either left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery ligation (MI group) or sham surgery (Sham group). Myocardial tissues from the infarct border zone (MI group) and the corresponding region of the left ventricle (Sham group) were harvested at 3 days post-surgery (n = X per group). Total RNA was extracted and subjected to bulk RNA sequencing using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000. This dataset provides a comprehensive view of gene expression profiles during the early phase of cardiac ischemic injury and may reveal potential therapeutic targets for mitigating adverse remodeling.
