Trust in news in India by political ideology 2019

About 41 percent of the respondents who supported BJP said they trusted most news most of the times in the week preceding the survey in early 2019, whereas, only 26 percent of those who did not support any political party and did not intend to vote said they trusted the news media that week. Research generally points to the fact that trust in news in deeply tied with political partisanship in many countries world over. However, in India it was seen that the supporters of political parties trust the news more than those who are non-partisans.
