Glossary for automated translations of regesta
收藏资源简介:
Description This repository contains a glossary of terminology found in the Regesta of Emperor Frederik III (1440-1493) of the Regesta Imperii. It is the result of a project to provide short regesta (Kurzregesten) for the RI Online database. The short regesta were taken from the charter registers (Urkundenverzeichnisse) of the printed volumes of the regesta of Emperor Frederik III (Regesta Imperii, Regesten Kaiser Friedrichs III., Vol. 1-36). The glossary contains 346 entries, for each provding the German term, the respective English translation as well as language specifications needed for implementing it into the DeepL application. For other purposes these specifications may be deleted. The glossary was prepared and curated by Frederik Skidzun at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW). Application The glossary was used to support the translation process carried out with DeepL. As DeepL only allows for one translation per lemma we chose translations that would most likely apply to the sources of our translations. In some cases we had to decide based on statistics and manually correct instances where the chosen translation would not apply. Please keep in mind that our choices might not be applicable to other sources and the glossary needs to be revised before use.
