This series consists of a volume which recorded information relating to telegrams received by Beechworth Asylum and Hospital for the Insane (VA 2842).Most of the telegrams received have been addressed to the Medical Superintendent, and the subject matter covers all administrative functions of the hospital, as well as issues relating to patient admission and discharge..The register records the following information:- Date and Time of Receipt- Number of Words in Telegram- To Whom Addressed- Message Details- Whom Received By (usually just initials or a signature).There is no further information regarding the action or outcome resulting from the telegram.
