The big berry manzanita (Arctostaphylos glauca) is an iconic chaparral species in California Floristic Province. It widely distributes across various habitats and adapts well to the drought condition and fire-disturbed areas. This assembly has been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's HiC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core. Genome assembly was conducted by Merly Escalona at UC Santa Cruz using CCGP pipeline 2.0. The primary and secondary haplotypes were assembled up to scaffolds.
