Identification of C2CD4A as a human diabetes susceptibility gene with a role in β-cell insulin secretion [ChIP-Seq]

To identify effector genes of pancreatic beta cell failure, we integrated analyses of FoxO1 regulated genes with ChIPseq and RNAseq, super-enhancers, and human type 2 diabetes GWAS loci. We performed FoxO1 ChIPseq in our FoxO1-Venus knock-in mice, and H3K27ac ChIPseq in FAC-sorted beta cells from WT and db/db mice.
