The X-ray Spectral Evolution of Eta Car During the X-ray Eclipse

We request a triggered EPIC observation to monitor the Xray spectral evolution of thesuperluminous star Eta Car during the upcoming Xray eclipse. This observation will be used in conjunction with colliding wind emission models to probe the structure of the inner wind of Eta Car and to determine the sources of emission during eclipse.
