Lambda-cyhalothrin exerts strong contact and stomach toxicities against pests and mites, featuring permeability but no systemic activity, and can effectively control pests belonging to Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hemiptera and mite categories. It is chemically stable and resistant to rain wash-off. This compound can control various pests on crops including fruit trees, vegetables, cotton, tobacco, corn and others, such as cotton bollworm, pink bollworm, cotton aphid, corn borer, citrus leafminer, scale insect nymphs, spider mites, tortricid larvae, fruit borers, aphids, diamondback moth, cabbage armyworm, common cutworm, tobacco budworm, cabbage webworm and cabbage butterfly larvae, and is also effective against sanitary pests like mosquitoes and flies.

Data collection: Randomly sample mature Chinese cabbage from each vegetable greenhouse, and conduct detection of lambda-cyhalothrin residual content in the sampled products.

Data evaluation: The sampled product is qualified if the measured residual amount of lambda-cyhalothrin is no more than 0.5 mg/kg. The calculation formula is: X = (A2 * C * V) / (A1 * m), where X represents the total content of lambda-cyhalothrin in the sample (mg/kg); C is the concentration of the standard solution for determination (mg/L); V is the final constant volume of the sample during the determination (mL); A1 is the sum of the peak areas of the two isomers of the standard substance; A2 is the sum of the peak areas of the two isomers of the sample; m is the mass of the sample (g).
