THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF EMOTIONAL CONCEPTS AND THEIR METAPHORIZATION

This paper explores the theoretical foundations of emotional concepts and their metaphorization in different systemic languages, focusing on the concept of anger (anger/злость/qahr). Drawing on Conceptual Metaphor Theory, it demonstrates how universal embodied schemas such as heat, pressure, and opposition are linguistically realized in English, Russian, and Uzbek. At the same time, cultural and spiritual values shape the unique metaphorical interpretations of each language. The study contributes to cognitive and cultural linguistics, translation studies, and cross-cultural communication.
