# Domain Dataset Grower This dataset was generated by [distilabel](https://distilabel.argilla.io/latest/) as a domain specific dataset for the domain of farming. The dataset used this seed data to generate the samples. The seed data was define by a domain expert and the generated data can be reviewed in this [Argilla](https://argilla.io/) space here: [Argilla](https://huggingface.co/spaces/argilla/farming) If you want to define a domain specific seed dataset for your own domain, you can use the distilabel tool to generate the dataset, and seed your dataset [here](https://huggingface.co/spaces/argilla/domain-specific-seed) # pokemon_strategies ## Domain: Pokemon strategies ## Perspectives - Pokemon and showdown player for 20 years - Active Pokemon expert and strategist on Smogon - Winner of the Pokemon World Championship three years in a row ## Topics - pokemon names and types - pokemon types table (effective vs not effective) - common pokemon strategies on smogon and showdown ## Examples ### What pokemon to use against Shedinja ? Shedinja is ghost/bug-type Pokémon with 1HP and the Wonder Guard ability. Defeating it can be a challenge since you can only beat it using effective type moves. Shedinja's weaknesses according to the types table are: - Fire-type moves - Flying-type moves - Rock-type moves - Ghost-type moves - Dark-type moves Pokémon that can defeat Shedinja: Charizard: With its Fire-type moves like Flamethrower or Fire Blast, Charizard can take down Shedinja easily. Staraptor: As a Flying-type Pokémon, Staraptor can use its quick and powerful moves like Aerial Ace or Brave Bird to defeat Shedinja. Tyranitar: With its Rock-type moves like Stone Edge or Crunch, or Dark-type moves like Crunch. Flareon: Another Fire-type Pokémon, Flareon can use its Fire-type moves like Fire Blast or Flame Wheel to take down Shedinja. Gyarados: While not a traditional counter, Gyarados's Flying-type moves like Aerial Ace or Bite can damage Shedinja. Tips: Make sure your Pokémon are at a high level and have a good moveset. Use a Pokémon with a type advantage. Consider using a Pokémon with a high Speed stat to be able to hit first. No need to have a Pokémon with high Attack since Shedinja only has 1HP. ### Give me an example of a good stall team Hippowdon @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Stealth Rock - Slack Off - Earthquake - Toxic Hippowdon at times feels like a necessity to this team, due to the fact that its bulk, recovery move with slack off, ability to set up stealth rock, and being immune to electric makes it very good against electrics that might otherwise threaten corviknight or Toxapex. Also, its speed EV's are there so that it can win weather wars if both Hippowdon and Pelipper/Torkoal are switched in, which is kind of necessary as without weather, threats like Venusaur or other boosted water types get more powerful. Corviknight @ Leftovers Ability: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Impish Nature - Roost - Defog - Brave Bird - U-turn Corviknight's such a good pokemon for defogging, and U-Turning out with a tempo to try to get some momentum going. Combined with Pressure, it's very efficient for stalling out pokemon moves, which unfortunately is sometimes one of the only good ways of dealing with pokemon like Ferrothorn. Ferrothorns are especially annoying as they can leech seed, knock off, and set up spikes. I consider having taunt in place of U-Turn, but I feel like having U-turn switches are just so useful especially since it's the only pokemon on this team to do so Blissey (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD Calm Nature - Heal Bell - Seismic Toss - Soft-Boiled - Thunder Wave Blissey's just the obligatory special wall for the team. Since Blissey has heal bell, it frees up a slot on Clefable. Before, I had toxic, but Thunder Wave is just so good at crippling pokemon that try to switch into Blissey, like Urshifu in particular, which the last thing they'd want to be is be slower than a wall that can just spam recover like Toxapex or Hippowdon, or being slower than Corviknight to get attacked by Brave Birds. Ferrothorn @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD Impish Nature - Thunder Wave - Leech Seed - Knock Off - Protect Ferrothorn is one of my favorite pokemon as it can not only knock off, but Leech seed, and thunder wave. Again, I have Thunder wave over spikes, since almost every team has a spinner/defogger, and since spikes takes so much time to effectively set up, I chose Thunder Wave over it to bait pokemon like Urshifu to come in, only to get paralyzed and crippled even further, or have knock off bait pokemon like Moltress, zapdos, or Cinderace to come in, knock off their heavy duty boots, and retreat out. Toxapex @ Black Sludge Ability: Regenerator EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Scald - Toxic - Haze - Recover It's your typical physically defensive toxapex, with the main strategy here to either go for scald burns to cripple physical attackers, or poison pokemon to cripple their longevity. Haze on the other hand is excellent for preventing pokemon to set up on Toxapex, and combined with its 48 PP, makes it great for PP stalling endgame. Clefable (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Unaware Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 208 Def / 48 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Calm Mind - Moonblast - Wish - Protect Lastly, Clefable comes in to provide some excellent utility in the form of wish passing, and with Unaware, it means that pokemon are no longer able to set up on clefable, and in some cases, clefable herself can singlehandedly turn the tides of a match by calm minding herself, being unaware of the stat boosts of the opponent, and hitting hard with a boosted moonblast even if the opponent is at +6 themselves. Clefable has actually sweeped many times due to this ### What team can I use with Sableye and the Baton Pass move ? This is a full Baton Pass team is made for fun and to use Sableye in a sweeping role (compared to the support role it's so often used in). Ninjask (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Speed Boost EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Baton Pass - Substitute - Dual Wingbeat - Protect Ninjask's main use here is to pass Speed, and only Speed. Substitute+Protect combine with Leftovers so that Ninjask has more survivability, and I can get Speed Boosts again if I lose something like Vaporeon at some point. Dual Wingbeat is there to avoid being total Taunt bait should it happen. It helps handle Blaziken and Marshadow if i'm able to get Ninjask back in with Attack boosts, but I do not usually attempt to do this. Espeon (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Substitute - Psyshock - Calm Mind - Baton Pass Espeon is more of a test of this team and is more flexible. Magic Bounce can help me deal with Shuckle leads or other Pokémon who try and set the stage for their own sweeps. Calm Mind+Baton Pass passes Sp Def boosts to other Pokémon and can also give Clefable more fire power against setup mons like Xerneas. Psyshock could be swapped out with Stored Power but it's also just for some damage if I could snipe a Pokémon somewhere. Open to suggestions here. Sableye (M) @ Lum Berry Ability: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Thunder Punch - Poltergeist - Knock Off - Shadow Sneak Sableye is the main Pokémon I use for sweeping. Poltergeist and Knock Off are for STAB. Shadow Sneak is also STAB and can pick off any opposing Pokémon who are still somehow faster. Thunder Punch is for general Electric coverage, so can hit mons like Ho-oh and Toxapex. Lum Berry is for when Sableye loses it's Sub and might get burned by the opponent looking for an opening. Dubwool (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Fluffy EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Cotton Guard - Baton Pass - Swords Dance - Substitute After Ninjask sets up boosts, I usually go straight to Dubwool if against physical attackers. Fluffy lets Dubwool take contact moves better. Substitute is to prevent status that can whittle down Dubwool. Cotton Guard and Swords Dance are so Dubwool can pass Attack & Defense boosts to other teammates. It is basically my only real answer to Marshadow, who otherwise could steal boosts from other teammates and sweep itself. Dubwool here has nothing to hit Marshadow though. Previous sets ran Zen Headbutt over Swords Dance because another mon ran SD. Clefable (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Unaware EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Moonblast - Moonlight - Amnesia - Baton Pass Clefable is who I go to against Special Attackers who try to set up in my face, also Regieleki once I have enough speed boosts. Amnesia is used over Calm Mind because of the faster Sp Def boosts increasing survivability. Moonblast is for STAB so I can try and deal enough damage to knock out opposing setup sweepers. Moonlight is for healing. Softboiled is considered better due to not being weather dependant, so my only excuse is thematic here. Baton Pass is self-explanatory. Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Water Absorb EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Substitute - Baton Pass - Scald - Roar Vaporeon has proven itself as a really useful teammate time and time again so it is not up for removal. It's main use is to Roar out opposing setup sweepers before they can set up. If Dubwool can pass Def boosts, even better for it, as it can also easily handle Zacian through Scald, which can burn Zacian and similar physical attackers allowing for easier boosting.
