Histone methylation modifications play a crucial role in enamel development. Our study revealed high expression levels of H3K4me3 from the cap stage to the late bell stage of mandibular molar germs. To investigate the involvement of H3K4me3 modification in amelogenesis and unravel the underlying mechanism, we conducted a conditional knockout of Ash2l, a core subunit essential for establishing H3K4me3, in mice dental epithelium.
