VPRS 19534 Visitors' Book

This series comprises volumes recording visits to the Melbourne Convalescent Home for Women, later known as McCulloch House (VA 5252). Included are comments made by visitors to the home. Between 1961 and 1974, the book was also used to record attendees at annual meetings. The first visit recorded marks the official opening of the Home in Clayton by the Governor of Victoria Sir Henry Brougham Loch, accompanied by Lady Loch, in 1889. The last visits occurred on 1 November 1989, which marked the opening of the Monash Medical Centre McCulloch House Centenary Garden, by Mrs Jean McCaughey, wife of then Governor Davis McCaughey.
