Uncovering a Hidden Mini-Monster\: A Candidate Compton-thick AGN in Mrk 462

In the past decade, nearby dwarf galaxies have emerged as exciting observationallaboratories for studying the stillmysterious origin of supermassive blackholes in the early Universe and their impact on galaxies. This proposal aims fora 50 ks XMMNewton program to obtain a deep Xray spectrum of a recentlydiscovered (and heretefore unique) candidate Comptonthick AGN in the nucleus ofthe nearby dwarf galaxy Mrk 462.
