Reported inhibition efficiencies of plant-extract corrosion inhibitors: screening decisions, extracted dataset and analysis code

Data and code underlying a systematic audit of 710 primary studies of plant-derivedextracts as corrosion inhibitors for mild and carbon steel in aqueous HCl and H2SO4. Contents:- Complete screening decisions for all 2,328 records identified in OpenAlex, Crossref and Europe PMC, with exclusion reasons- Extracted dataset for the 710 included studies: reported inhibition efficiency, acid medium and molarity, substrate designation, temperature, inhibitor concentration, exposure time, measurement techniques and reporting markers- Full-text sample of 195 open-access studies re-scored on five reporting markers, with recovered concentration-efficiency pairs- Open-access status of every included study with a DOI- All retrieval, screening, extraction, analysis and figure-generation scripts- Supplementary files: PRISMA 2020 checklists, full search strategy, and a diagnostic showing why a substituted pseudo-variance model fails on this literature Searches were run on 12 August 2026. Analyses used Python 3.9 with NumPy 2.0.2,SciPy 1.13.1 and pandas 2.3.3.
