Clostridium tyrobutyricum mutant ACK genome sequencing

The current mutant was derived from a previous knockout experiment. However, sequencing confirmed that the target gene is still present in the C. tyrobutyricum genome. Despite this, the mutant exhibits several distinct phenotypes compared to the WT strain, including slower growth, increased resistance to erythromycin, and higher butyrate tolerance. Therefore, the purpose of this sequencing is to identify potential mutations associated with these observed traits. This also contributes to a better understanding of Clostridium's metabolic activities.
