Received Signal-to-Noise and Distortion Ratio (SNDR) is a core performance indicator for PAM4 chips. The test procedure is as follows: First, the signal source receives a signal encoded with the SSPRQ pattern and inputs it to the receiver port of the PAM4 chip. Next, configure the internal analog-to-digital converter (ADC) of the PAM4 chip to collect the input data, then transfer the collected data from the PAM4 chip to a personal computer (PC). Finally, use the built-in application software on the PC to perform calculations on the collected data to derive the received SNDR value, and verify whether the value meets the predefined indicator requirements.
