VPRS 1410 Index To Inward Correspondence (Lands Branch)

This series consists of an index to the inward correspondence of the Colonial Secretary's Office (Land Branch). Each entry, where appropriate, records the sender's name and a brief description of the subject of the letter. There are then two alphanumeric reference numbers. The one in black ink may be the registration number for the Land Branch's own correspondence system. Neither registers nor correspondence is in PROV custody (at June 2002). The alpanumeric designator in red ink is the registration number given in the Chief Secretary's central registration system and may be traced through VPRS 1186 Inward Correspondence registers.
