资源简介:
The early detection of Parkinson's disease (PD) is critical to increase the quality of life of the patients. Its diagnosis is based on a clinical evaluation carried out by doctors. This evaluation analyzes various indicators, such as gait. However, clinical gait examinations present several lines of improvement regarding technology, reliability, rapidness and repetitiveness. Radar technology is a strong candidate to overcome the aforementioned difficulties, as it allows a contactless, rapid and reliable analysis. However, the most appropriate radar operational mode has not been determined yet. Contributions alternate operational modes without clear justification between Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB), continuous-wave (CW), and Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW). The implementation of IR-UWB systems has been constrained as a consequence of the RF spectrum regulations. In contrast, FMCW and CW systems comply with the current regulations, with numerous commercially-available devices at the 24-GHz and 60-GHz frequency bands. The data presented in this dataset was captured to compare FMCW and CW radar networks. Gait data was adquired from five healthy individuals and five patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), using infra-red Vicon cameras as ground-truth. This dataset is significant for the implementation of radar networks in clinical and domestic environments. This dataset contains approximately 100 gait minutes (approximately half of them from PD patients), and more than 2000 gait parameter estimates. Data is adquired with Vicon infra-red motion capture system, and CW and FMCW (with a bandiwdth B = 125 MHz) 24-GHz radar networks, offering a solid validation of both radar networks. The dataset contains both the raw signals and the gait parameter estimates. The infra-red camera system is equipped with six Vicon M2 cameras recording at 120 Hz. The camera signal is reconstructed with a Vicon Workstation model 460. Each radar network features two feet nodes facing one another separated 4.2 m and a torso node (height of 1 m). Their oprating frequency is configured to avoid interferences. The data is captured with the ADC Spectrum DN2.593-16, which is synchronized with the Vicon's station through a trigger signal. The gait of ten participants performing the following five clinical tests is recorded. The participants are divided into two groups according to their age and health condition: - Healthy and young participants (HC): 3 male and 2 female, aged between 21 and 29 years old without known motor disorders. - PD participants (PD): 4 male and 1 female, aged between 52 and 74 years old with Parkinson's Disease. Each subject's recordings are contained in a .zip file, encrypted with a password. To access the data, fill the "data_request_form" and send it to ie.lopez@upm.es. From 2027 on, data will be freely available. For more information, refer to the readme.txt file.
