16S rRNA sequencing of gut microbiota from a mouse model of Alzheimer disease.

In the present study, we performed a metagenomic analysis of stool samples from a mouse model of AD (Alzheimer Disease), the 3xTgAD. Purified DNA samples were subjected to 16S rRNA metagenomics analysis to compare the distribution and relative or absolute abundance of microbial consortia in the original fecal samples at 3 relevant time points (Weaning, 2 months, 6 months). The experiment was conducted on 4 different mice per each timepoint and in parallel in both WT and AD animals for a total of 24 samples. Here we provide the resulting paired-end reads of 16S rRNA sequencing on Illumina Miseq platform.
