Paraquat induced apoptotic response in erythroid cells in bone marrow and spleen.

Bone marrow/spleen cells were isolated from control and paraquat treated (10 mg/kg paraquat i.p. for 14 days) mice and stained with anti-mouse Ter 119-APC, anti-mouse CD71-PE antibody along with Annexin-V FITC and 7-AAD followed by flow cytometric analysis. Cells were gated on the basis of CD71 and Ter119 staining as shown in Fig. 6 and apoptotic cells were quantified in this gated population on the basis of Annexin V and 7-AAD staining. Each value represents mean ± SEM of data from 5–6 mice.
