Data from 'The role of root community attributes in predicting soil fungal and bacterial community patterns'

This dataset corresponds to the raw data used in López‐Angulo J, de la Cruz M, Chacón‐Labella J, Illuminati A, Matesanz S, Pescador DS, Pías B, Sánchez AM, Escudero A. 2020. The role of root community attributes in predicting soil fungal and bacterial community patterns. New Phytologist.<br>The data presented here involves: (1) abundances of the fungal and (2) bacterial OTUs across 83 soil samples estimated from DNA metabarcoding; (3) abundance of plant species found belowground estimated from DNA metabarcoding; (4) abundance of plant species found aboveground visually estimated, (5) soil physicochemical properties; (6) spatial coordinates used to generate a set of Moran´s eigenvectors; (7) taxonomic classification of the bacterial and (8) fungal OTUs; and (9) metadata including the description of all the variables and units.
