资源简介:
This dataset contains the Australian results of the first phase (unfunded) of a proposed international comparative benchmarking study, Health science students’ views of academic and practice education learning environments. Monash Researchers, Ted Brown, Louis Roller, Brett Williams, Jill French, Lisa McKenna, Elizabeth Molloy and Marilyn Baird are part of an informal Health Sciences Education Research Network (HSERN) which surveyed students following their fieldwork education placement. In 2008, more than 500 students, representing 45% of around 1200 undergraduates enrolled in nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, radiography, pharmacy and paramedic studies, were asked to complete a paper-based survey package consisting of a demographic data form and the following established instruments: Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM), Clinical Learning Environment Inventory (CLEI) and Cleveland Clinical Teaching Effectiveness Instrument (CCTEI). Participant responses were tabulated and an SPSS database with 8 sub files for each of the professions was used for data storage and analysis. The resulting data relating to the importance of clinical education within an academic learning environment will be used as a guide for the development of future programs to meet stated expectations of clinical education. It could be used for tracking changes over time, cross cultural comparisons and comparison within disciplines.
