Single-track dimensions dataset for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF)

This dataset compiles single-track geometrical measurements (width and depth) obtained during Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) experiments reported in the literature for several metallic materials alongside with their numerically predicted counterparts.
The dataset gathers experimental results from multiple authors together with the corresponding processing parameters used to produce the tracks. In most cases, the melt pool depth reported in the experimental measurements is equal to 0. This does not represent a measured value, but rather indicates that the depth was not reported in the original publication.
This dataset aims to support:
- validation of predictive models for LPBF melt pool geometry,
- comparison between experimental and numerical melt pool dimensions,
- development of data-driven or physics-based modeling approaches for LPBF processes.
