Sexual harassment in libraries exists, but it has not been comprehensively
studied. In the wake of the #MeToo movement and shared anecdotal
experiences, library staff members at the University of California, San
Francisco were empowered to address this issue in our library. This paper
will present the results of our survey of sexual harassment experiences of
our staff and, in an effort to encourage other academic library workers to
spearhead similar efforts in their own environments, will document our
process of developing anti-sexual harassment efforts in our library.
