Molecular Mechanism of Upwelling Stress to Mangrove Plants

Distributed at coastal line, mangrove roots are subjected to low temperature seawater brought by upwelling.Low temperature in roots can lead to membranes disorganization, osmotic stress and reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction in plants. As a consequence, a series of changes at the molecular and cellular levels in plants occur to adapt and survive under stress.
