This study aims to compare the bacterial and fungal microbiota isolated from diseased and non-diseased BSF larvae. By analyzing the microbial communities associated with both healthy and infected larvae, we seek to identify specific microbial signatures that correlate with disease states. This knowledge could inform the development of microbiome-based strategies to enhance larval health, improve waste conversion efficiency, and ensure the stability of BSF populations in large-scale rearing operations. Understanding the microbial dynamics in BSF larvae will not only advance our knowledge of insect-microbe interactions but also contribute to the broader field of applied microbiology, where managing microbiota is crucial for the health and productivity of beneficial insects
