Complete genome sequences of linezolid-resistant and vancomycin-susceptible Enterococcus faecalis clinical isolates. Enterococcus faecalis

Enterococcus faecalis KUB3006 and KUB3007 strains were isolated from midstream urine of the 60s Japanese patient during hospitalization at 2017/05/02 and 2017/05/09, respectively. These strains showed susceptible to glycopeptide (vancomycin and teicoplanin), but rather reduced susceptibility to linezolid (MIC: 16 ug/mL). Complete genome sequencing analysis revealed that these two strains possess Tn6218-like transposon element (designated as TnKUB-cfrB) carrying linezolid resistance gene cfr(B) in chromosomal DNA.
