Most patients are children aged 1 to 6 years old. Its main symptoms include fever and general malaise; in severe cases, limb pain and paralysis may occur. Poliomyelitis is an acute viral infectious disease. This database collects all reported data since the launch of the direct online infectious disease reporting system in 2004. Its main contents include aggregated statistical data such as the number of incident cases, incidence rate, number of deaths and mortality rate, categorized by region, age, gender, occupation and disease type, as well as relevant original individual case data.
