资源简介:
This thesis explores how viruses that kill bacteria (phages) can be used to treat dangerous drug-resistant infections. The study investigated how phages attack Klebsiella pneumoniae, interact with human cells, and their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in mice. Results showed that the size and shape of phages affect their pharmacokinetics in the body, while treatment success mainly depends on the interactions among the phage, bacteria and host. This thesis provides new pharmacological insights to help optimise phage therapy in patients.
