This methodological appendix discusses in detail the data gathering processes and methodology for archival research on the Fuerza Democrática Nicaragüense (FDN) of Nicaragua and interview research on the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL), as well as ethical considerations related to interviews. A table of interviewees in Liberia is also provided.
