Data and analysis resources for biomass heterosis in savoy cabbage and red kohlrabi

This record contains processed data and reproducibility resources supporting the research article "Biomass heterosis in savoy cabbage and red kohlrabi is associated with a shared seedling transcriptional component and morphotype-specific later-stage programs".Contents. Raw integer gene-level count matrices for the five canonical analysis contexts (savoy cabbage seedling, young leaf at heading, old/outer leaf at heading; red kohlrabi seedling, mature head) together with the prespecified scenario and sensitivity count matrices; machine-readable sample metadata for 45 core and three sensitivity-only RNA-seq libraries linked to their public NABIC accessions; all analysis scripts with sessionInfo and package manifests; and BolC-to-TAIR ortholog evidence with BolC-to-GO/KEGG, union-exonic gene-length and tested-universe resources.Raw sequence data. Raw paired-end FASTQ files are not duplicated in this record. All 48 source libraries are publicly available from the National Agricultural Biotechnology Information Center (NABIC), Republic of Korea: 42 newly registered accessions DL016760 to DL016801 and six existing accessions NN-8047, NN-8051, NN-8052, NN-8072, NN-8073 and NN-8074. The verified sample-to-accession and paired R1/R2 mapping is given in sample_metadata_48_libraries.tsv.Data-use boundary. The RNA-seq and phenotype experiments used the same breeding-line crosses but were carried out in different years on different plants. These resources therefore support crop- and context-level association analyses; they do not provide individual-plant transcript-phenotype correlations.Licensing.
