Sentinel-derived Leaf Area Index (LAI) at 20 m spatial resolution with a biweekly temporal frequency for the transboundary HUC-130401 watershed
收藏资源简介:
The Leaf Area Index (LAI) dataset was generated using the Sentinel-2 Toolbox LAI Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model implemented within the Google Earth Engine cloud-computing platform. The model estimates canopy LAI from multispectral reflectance derived from Sentinel-2 imagery. Surface reflectance bands and observation geometry parameters were used as inputs to the ANN-based retrieval algorithm originally developed in the Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP) biophysical processor. The resulting dataset provides LAI estimates at 20 m spatial resolution with a biweekly temporal frequency for the transboundary HUC-130401 watershed from 2015-06 to 2024-12-31. Sentinel-2 observations within each two-week period were processed in Google Earth Engine, and LAI values were generated following the Sentinel-2 biophysical parameter retrieval framework. The dataset enables spatially explicit monitoring of vegetation canopy structure and seasonal dynamics across the watershed.
