The EFSA Comprehensive European Food Consumption Database is an information resource established by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which contains detailed food consumption data from EU member states and candidate countries. This database is used to assess the exposure of EU residents to potential risks in the food chain, support risk assessment work, and evaluate nutrient intake across different age groups. It is classified by age, special populations, food groups (over 2500 types) and consumption types, and provides acute and chronic consumption statistics.
