Data for "Recent environmental change shapes biotic homogenisation of Orthoptera and Mantodea communities in semi-dry grasslands"

This dataset accompanies the study “Recent environmental change shapes biotic homogenisation of Orthoptera and Mantodea communities in semi-dry grasslands”. Using a nationwide resurvey of 221 semi-dry grassland patches across Germany, spanning two to three decades, the study investigates long-term changes in Orthoptera and Mantodea communities. It examines changes in species richness, community composition, and beta diversity, and relates these patterns to major global change drivers. The repository contains two datasets: (1) data on community metrics and (2) data used for the mixed-effects models. Accompanying README text files describe the structure of the tables and explain the abbreviations used for the variables. These data provide the basis for the analyses presented in the study and support transparency, reproducibility, and further research. Access to the dataset ist restricted; the data are available upon reasonable request.
