Study 1 - NK & EI EPL Male Academy Players

The dataset includes nutritional knowledge scores of academy football players and key stakeholders (caregivers, and coaches). Knowledge data are categorised into distinct domains, such as macronutrient, micronutrient knowledge, sports nutrition etc. In addition, the dataset contains detailed dietary intake data collected from academy footballers using a 7-day food diary. The food diaries were analysed to determine total daily energy intake (kcal) and macronutrient intake, including carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake (both in absolute values and relative to body weight). These data were collected as part of a broader investigation into the effectiveness of a nutrition education and behaviour change intervention implemented within a Category 1 English Premier League Academy.
