Data associated with the article entitled "Microplastic filtration by a coastal mangrove wetland as a novel ecosystem service". Data include concentrations of microplastics in water and sediment of South Florida wetlands and quantification of microplastic recovery from spiked samples to validate a novel microplastic isolation method called R.O.S.E.S. Also included is bulk density data of sediment samples.
