Dataset for: Nutritional Value of Selected Landraces of Banana, Taro, Pumpkin, and Green Mustard in Vietnam

In 2024, samples of selected landraces of Banana, Taro, Pumpkin, and Green Mustard were collected in the target sites of the CGIAR Initiative on Nature Positive Solutions in the North West mountainous region of Vietnam (Mai Son district of Son La Province and Sapa district of Lao Cai Province). The samples were analyzed by the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) of Vietnam to assess the nutrition value of these landraces in order to identify opportunities for leveraging nutrition for agrobiodiversity conservation and use. The information was also disseminated through the varietal booklets published by CIP in collaboration with the Plant Resources Center (PRC), the national genebank of Vietnam. The dataset presents the nutritional values, based on the key macro and micro-nutrients identified in consultation with nutritionists from CIP and Mahidol University, Thailand.
