Environmental drivers of European plant distributions

This repository contains the data and code associated with the manuscript Environmental drivers of plant species distributions across Europe. The study models the distribution of 11,535 plant species across Europe using XGBoost species distribution models (SDMs) and quantifies the relative importance of 36 environmental predictors using SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) values at continental and bioregional scales. The repository includes:– Processed datasets used for statistical analyses– SHAP summaries – R and Python scripts for statistical analyses and figure reproduction Anonymous authorship during peer-review.
