Vignette survey data: Cooking automation (Japan, Married respondents, March 2022)

This study conducts an online factorial survey experiment on household meal preparation choices. Using a D-efficient fractional design (score: 95.93), 144 scenarios across 11 causal variables were blocked into 48 decks. Respondents evaluate alternatives to reduce domestic labor—robot services, commercial human services, or spousal labor—or select none. Collected in March 2022 via Rakuten Insight, the sample comprises 4,951 married individuals stratified by sex and age cohorts. A balance check across 34 characteristics confirms successful randomization, ensuring robust internal validity for identifying causal effects.
