Technopessimistic Shock and the Banning of Mobile Phones in Secondary Schools: The Case of Madrid

This work was carried out within the US'MOV project, "Youth and mobiles in the classroom. Discourses and dynamics of prohibition, promotion and indeterminacy". US'MOV is a project funded by the State Research Agency (PID2019-108041RB-I00) that seeks to identify and analyze the discourses, practices and positionings of educational administrations, teachers, young people, families and companies on the use of cell phones in compulsory secondary schools in the Spanish state. More information: https://usmov.es/ The documents included in this dataset contain 12 files of 3 phases of study, with phase 1 doc 1, analysis of 5 laws/ decrees, 3 orders/ regulatory, 2 other provisions, 2 official instructions and guides; phase 1 doc 2, interviews analysis, phase 1 doc 3 interview to 1 politician (male), phase 1 doc 4 interview to academic experts (male), phase 1 doc 5 interview to 1 edtech businessman (male), phase 2 doc 1,2, 3 case study reports, phase 3 doc 1 participant data, phase 3 doc 2 students focus group, phase 3 doc 3 teachers focus group, phase 3 doc 4 families focus group, which were used to make the qualitative analysis of Madrid region study that back the analysis of technopessimism.
