Whole-genome sequencing of vancomycin-susceptible Enterococci in Hiroshima, Japan

Vancomycin-resistant enterococci are one of the serious antimicrobial-resistant organisms. However, vancomycin-susceptible enterococci also show a resistance to various antimicrobial agents and can be a concern. Therefore, we focused on vancomycin-susceptible Enterococci isolated in a hospital and characterized the enterococci by whole-genome sequencing.
