In an exploratory human study, RNAseq was performed to quantify immune cells present in prostate cancer. Two patients were examined, and both showed increased CD8+ lymphocytes and M1 macrophages scores following cholesterol-lowering intervention with the combination of ezetimibe and simvastatin. Overall design: Two patients were examined and matched pre-treatment prostate biopsy and post-treatment prostatectomy tissue showed that cholesterol-lowering therapy increased immune infiltration in the tumor
