Dataset: Effects of the presence of heterospecifics and simulated drying on life history and behavioral traits in newt larvae and juveniles

We tested predictions about life-history variation based on the differing thermal sensitivities of differentiation and growth rates. Using a mesocosm experiment, we exposed larvae of two sympatric newt species, Ichthyosaura alpestris and Lissotriton vulgaris, to combinations of a biotic factor (the presence of heterospecifics) and an abiotic factor (simulated drying). We examined the impact of multiple stressor combinations on larval life history traits and juvenile exploration. The dataset consists of five files.<br>
