VPRS 18214 Register of Pre Sentence Reports (Children's Court Advisory Service)

This series consists of volumes which record summary information about children for whom a pre-sentence report was provided by the Children's Court Advisory Service.The Children's Court Advisory Service provided advice to Courts to assist them in determining the most appropriate decisions regarding young people brought before them. It operated primarily to service the various Melbourne Children's Courts. It provided reports in relation to Irreconcilable Differences applications, pre-sentence reports, parole plans and verbal reports. In addition, the Children's Court Advisory Service performed a liaison function in respect of children from country Regions remanded to Turana.The Register of Pre Sentence Reports records the following information:- Date of Receipt- Full Name- Age (or Date of Birth)- Offences- Name of Magistrate- Court Location & Date- Adjournment Date- Where Assigned To- Result (Court Decision).The second volume also records:- Sequential Number for each financial year- File Number reference (to the Youth Justice Services - Client Case files).
