Raw Dataset for the Calluna vulgaris Experimental Colitis Study

This dataset contains the raw experimental data used in the study titled “Short-term administration of Calluna vulgaris seed attenuates colonic injury in an experimental model of ulcerative colitis”. It includes animal body weights, disease activity index (DAI) scores, macroscopic colon evaluation, histopathological scores (continuous and categorical), and colon cytokine levels (IL-6, TNF-α and IL-10). The raw datasets are structured as Raw Table S1–S6, and each dataset is linked to the corresponding figures and analyses presented in the main manuscript. In addition, the repository contains Supplementary data as Supplementary Table S1, which presents the phytochemical compounds identified in Calluna vulgaris seed by LC-HRMS analysis, and Supplementary Figure S1, which provides the corresponding LC-HRMS chromatogram. All data are original and were collected under controlled experimental conditions using an acetic acid-induced colitis model in rats. The dataset is intended to support reproducibility, transparency, secondary analyses, and future research on ulcerative colitis, phytochemicals, intestinal barrier function, and herbal therapies.
